END DOGFIGHTING & PIT BULL TRAINING TEAM

Ending dogfighting in NYC is Project Bully’s ultimate goal.

The program targets at-risk and inner city youth and their pit bulls.  The initiatives promote relationship building and community development and provide a lifestyle alternative for youth involved in dogfighting.

Providing fun, interactive and competitive activities is one component preventing abuse and ending dogfighting.

Activities include:

  • AGILITY - obstacle course for dog & handler
  • WEIGHT PULL - dog pulls cart or sled with guidance & encouragement from handler
  • OBEDIENCE - basic manners and relationship building
  • FLYING DISC - frisbee catching and jumping
  • CGC TRAINING & TESTING - AKC approved program to promote responsible dog ownership and encourage the training of well-mannered dogs

Bully Project will be NYC’s first hands-on, Anti-DogFighting program grounded in intervention and prevention strategies.

RESCUE

Bully Project rescues and places pit bull mixes in and around the tri-state area.  These dogs eat, sleep, play, work, love, and train with Lee & Kelly and their two pit bulls, Mildred & Junebug.

Bully Project believes in creating, nurturing and placing breed ambassadors.  Striving to adopt out exemplary pit bulls, Bully Project looks for dogs that are extraordinarily affectionate, ready to work, social, playful and smart as a whip.
